Frequently asked questions
Quality management
We do not have a quality management system yet. Can you start from scratch?
Yes. From the process landscape and documentation to certification, we support you all the way – many companies are certified within 6–12 months.
How long does it take to achieve ISO 9001 certification?
Between 4 and 12 months, depending on your starting point. It is faster if basic structures already exist. In the initial consultation we draw up a realistic schedule.
What is the difference between ISO 9001 and IATF 16949?
ISO 9001 applies across all industries. IATF 16949 builds on it and adds automotive requirements such as APQP, PPAP, FMEA and MSA. An existing ISO 9001 system can be extended in a targeted way instead of starting from scratch.
Do you carry out supplier audits according to VDA 6.3?
Yes – internal process audits and supplier audits according to VDA 6.3. We also train your staff to conduct internal VDA 6.3 process audits.
What does production part approval (PPAP / PPF) involve?
Before start of production, suppliers prove that product and process meet the customer requirements. At its core is the initial sample inspection report with dimensions, material certificates, process capability and test results. We support you from planning the evidence to customer approval.
Our quality management system exists but is not lived. Can you help?
Yes. We analyse the weak points, simplify overly complex documentation and make the system practical again – for your employees, not just for the auditor.
Interim, projects & processes
How quickly can an interim manager start?
Usually within 5–10 working days, faster in urgent cases. We clarify availability and profile in the initial consultation.
Do you also support production launches and relocations?
Yes. From advanced product quality planning (APQP) through machine acceptance and process approvals to a stable start of production – including relocations abroad.
What do you do when a customer escalates?
We provide a task force at short notice, secure deliveries with immediate containment actions, analyse root causes on site and work through the action plan with you – with transparent communication towards your customer, e.g. using the 8D method, until the escalation is resolved.
Training & digitalisation
What training do you offer?
Among others FMEA, MSA, SPC, 8D, VDA 6.3, PDCA and task force planning, as well as quality management basics and standard requirements. Training takes place in-house at your site – practical, with your own parts and processes.
What do digitalisation & AI mean in quality management in practice?
For example digital inspection and complaint processes, automated KPI evaluations and AI-supported analyses that streamline documentation and reveal root causes faster.

How does the collaboration work?
After a free initial consultation you receive a proposal with approach, schedule and effort. We then work according to our PDCA approach – with regular status reports.
How is the work invoiced?
Depending on the project, by daily rate, by effort or as a fixed price for clearly defined services. We agree on the right option with you in the initial consultation.
How do you handle confidential information?
Confidentiality is a matter of course in our industry. On request, we sign a non-disclosure agreement (NDA) before the project starts.
